The More You Know

Hi, we are Jesse and Sarah Beiler! We are passionate about seeing the unreached encounter the love of the Father. We both did a DTS with YWAM Lancaster–Sarah in 2020 and Jesse in 2023. For the past three years Sarah has been on staff with YWAM Lancaster teaching high school with the Hub Learning Center and Jesse joined staff in 2025. In 2026 we are moving long-term with a team to Northern Thailand. We are expectant to see God move in that region as we pour into church planting and as we serve at a children’s home housing over 500 children. We believe partnership is key to our mission and we greatly appreciate your prayers and support!

Jesse – I get to teach three books: Genesis, Psalms, and the book of John. Genesis is so fun to study because of its theological depth. Psalms has been the book I turn to more than any other when life throws challenges my way. And I love the revelation of who Jesus is in the book of John.

Sarah – Psalms, because you can turn so many of them into songs and sing them back to the Lord!

Jesse – ESV is my go to.

Jesse – Pakistan!

Jesse – I felt drawn to missions from my early teens and later served at a children’s home in Bolivia for two years in my early twenties. Although those two years were really challenging, God used that time not only to grow me personally but also to show me how fulfilling it is to partner with Him in missions.

Jesse – I did my DTS at YWAM Lancaster in 2023. Through DTS, I gained a fresh perspective: we are blessed in order to bless others. We’re meant to be a conduit of God’s love—not just end beneficiaries.

Sarah – I completed my DTS in March of 2019. Living in a YWAM community and seeing all the different roles around campus was incredibly eye-opening. You don’t have to work with children in Africa to be a missionary—there are endless ways to serve the Lord. You can use the gifts He’s given you to bring Him glory!

Sarah – I did two schools at YWAM Orlando, visited YWAM Thailand in Bangkok during my DTS, went to YWAM Barbados for SOMD, and I’ve also spent time with Circuit Riders. It’s been so fun getting to connect with the broader YWAM family.

Every time I visit another location, it just confirms my calling to be right where I am—at YWAM Lancaster! It’s amazing to see the diversity in each base, yet recognize how similar we all are because we’re united by the same values.

Jesse – While serving in Bolivia, I remember one day we got a call that we were going to take in a 4-month-old baby. It was so heartbreaking to see such a young, helpless life with no immediate family to care for him. I have always been passionate about caring for children in crisis.

Sarah – It’s always helpful to remember the why behind what I’m doing. I love the work I do, but sometimes it can feel mundane. But when I remind myself: I’m sending these emails and making these calls so that people can get trained in missions, so that they can be sent, so that they can help fulfill the Great Commission, so that Jesus can come back—that really motivates me.

Everything, no matter how small the task, has a big purpose behind it, and I’m doing it all unto the glory of God! It’s also so encouraging to talk to students who’ve gone through our schools and hear them share how much it meant that we called them before they arrived. It’s fulfilling to see all the details come together for them to feel welcomed and prepared—and to know that everything on our end helped give them a smoother transition into missions.
